Security conferences in three parts of the country ‒ Swiss Post Cybersecurity continues to expand its community
Aarau and Morges, 21.5.2025. Swiss Post Cybersecurity AG has just successfully concluded its series of security conferences in three parts of the country. The Genev'Hack, Limmat'Hack and Lugano'Hack events took place in Geneva, Zurich and yesterday in Lugano, in total with more than 400 participants. The successful format will also be held in Luxembourg this summer, where Swiss Post Cybersecurity has a branch.
Swiss Post Cybersecurity is currently the only company to hold its own security conference in all three major language regions of Switzerland. Aimed at cybersecurity experts, IT enthusiasts and students, the events offered a pure customer program in the morning, followed by a hacker game and numerous specialist presentations from eleven national and international security vendors in the afternoon.
The exclusive «Customer Board» provided information on new services, solutions and updates in a confidential setting. Customers have been able to exchange experiences and had the opportunity to actively help shape the Swiss Post Cybersecurity roadmap by voting.
Proximity to customers
Paul Such, CEO of Swiss Post Cybersecurity AG: «Trust & proximity are not just empty phrases for us. Proximity to our customers and their trust are very important to us, which is why our security conference stops off in the French- and German-speaking part of Switzer-land as well as in Ticino. What started relatively small years ago as Genev'Hack in Geneva is now successfully taking place in three parts of the country. And soon also in Luxembourg.»
Defense against hacker attacks: Capture the flag
From midday, the program opened to a wider specialist audience. Experts provided practical insights into current cybersecurity topics, shared best practices for protection against cyberattacks and offered technical hands-on sessions. One highlight was the ‘Capture-the-Flag powered by Microsoft’ training session, which showed how threat protection solutions help to combat threats efficiently and how to stay secure by combining different security components.
«For me, it is important to further develop my cyber defense skills. This hands-on CTF competition puts participants in a real-life threat situation where concentration and teamwork are crucial. It is a unique opportunity to explore the Microsoft Defender XDR stack in a configured environment. Learning by doing is the key,» explained Deniz Mutlu, Microsoft Security MVP at Swiss Post Cybersecurity.
Well-known security manufacturers rounded off the conference with presentations and information stands. Andreas Riepen, Vice President EMEA North at Vectra AI: «We are delighted to have participated in the Swiss Post Cybersecurity Hack Event. The event provided an excellent platform for networking with customers and industry experts. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our latest solutions and innovations and gain valuable insights.»
Of course, there were also plenty of opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas during the breaks, lunch and aperitifs to discuss the challenges and prospects of cybersecurity.
